Definitions and Interpretations
1.1. In this Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following words shall have the following meanings: “Attendee” – means an individual or group that attends the Ceremony; “Awards” – means the competition known as The Talent Labs Awards judged by our independent panel and awards are given in relation to the Categories; “Category” – means each particular category within the Awards listed and detailed on the Website; “Ceremony” – means the awards ceremony on 5th June 2024 where the Winners will be announced; “Closing Date” – Deadline as conveyed on the Website; “Entrant” – means an individual or team that submits an Entry for the Awards; “Entry” – means the material submitted for the Awards by the Entrant; “Multiple Entries” – means more than one entry per brand; “Fee” – means the relevant fee payable by the Attendee for Tickets or tables or sponsorship paid by suppliers which is set out on the Website. “Organisers” – means the team who organise and implement the Awards; “Rules” – means the terms and conditions set out on the Website and (unless the context otherwise requires) including any special terms and conditions agreed in writing between the Entrant and / or Attendee and the Organisers; “Ticket” – means an individual seat or table at the Ceremony; “Website” – means the Awards website accessible at www.thetalentlabsawards “Winners” – means the winner for each Category. ~
1.2. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel / amend all or any part of the Awards and / or Rules. Any changes to the Rules or Awards will be posted on the Website. It is the responsibility of the Entrant and / or Attendee to keep themselves informed of any changes.
1.3. By submitting an Entry to the Awards and / or purchasing a Ticket to the Ceremony, the Entrant and / or Attendee agrees to comply with the Rules.
1.4. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct or results of the Awards, the decision of the Organisers shall be final and unchallengeable.
Awards Entrant
2.1. The Awards are open to all Entrants, regardless of location or organisational type.
2.2. By entering the Awards, the Entrant hereby warrants that all information submitted is true, accurate and complete. The Organisers reserves the right to verify any information contained in the Entry and the Entrants eligibility to enter the Awards.
2.3. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify an Entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an Entrant has breached any of the Rules, any applicable law (any copyright law) or has otherwise infringed the intellectual property of any third party.
2.4. In the event a Winner is disqualified from the Awards, the Organisers will select an alternative Winner in the same manner as the original Winner and such selection will be subject to the Rules.
The Awards
3.1. All Entries must be submitted using the official entry forms. No hardcopy Entries will be accepted.
3.2. Unless otherwise stated, each Entry should focus largely on work completed or projects undertaken in the previous year, however products developed before this date are not precluded from entering.
3.3. An Entry can be submitted to multiple Categories.
3.4. An Entrant can submit multiple Entries in the same category only if the Entry is for a different product or service.
3.5. Multiple Entries can be submitted from a single organisation or brand.
3.6. While submitting an Entry, Entrants should supply the Organisers updated and reachable contact details. Any changes to contact details supplied should be emailed directly to the Organisers.
3.7. In case of technical difficulties, Entrants are advised to save a version of the Entry in a saveable document prior to submitting their Entry.
3.8. On receipt of an Entry, the Organisers will confirm its arrival via email. If an Entrant does not obtain such a receipt within three days, it is the Entrant’s responsibility to contact the Organisers to confirm its arrival. Unless confirmation has been received verbally or in writing, the Organisers cannot guarantee the arrival of an Entry.
3.9. Only a fully completed Entry will be accepted. Word limits are to be strictly observed. Judges will only receive the exact number of words requested.
3.10. Amendments cannot be made to an Entry once submitted. If an Entrant has any concerns about information included in an Entry after it has been submitted, they should contact the Organisers directly.
3.11. In the event the Organisers have reasonable grounds to believe an Entrant has attempted to influence the decision of the judges further, by any means outside or in addition to the official Entry, the Entrant will be disqualified.
3.12. All Entries must be submitted, and Fees received before the Closing Date. No Entry will go forward for judging unless full payment of the Fee is received.
3.13. The shortlist will be announced in April 2024 via The Talent Labs Website and via Social Media
3.14. Final Judging will take place in April 2024
3.15. Winners will be published on the Website on the 9th June 2024
3.16. Upon being shortlisted, Entrants agree that at least one representative will be present at the Ceremony.
3.17 All materials will remain confidential to the judges.
3.18 The Organisers will not be held responsible for any claims concerning rights infringement.
The Ceremony
4.1. Tickets for the Ceremony must be purchased directly from the Organisers with the associated Fee. All Fees must be received by the Organisers before the Ceremony.
4.2. Fees are committed to at the point of order or issue of supplier agreement and must be paid in full by the deadline conveyed on the website, entry forms, invoices and booking forms;
4.3. Tickets are non-refundable from the point of order not payment.
4.4. By purchasing Tickets via the website or any other means, the Attendee agrees to provide the Organisers with all information requested.
4.5 The Organisers will not be liable or responsible to Attendees and/or Entrants for any failure or delay in performing any obligation under these Terms and Conditions arising as a result of or in connection with any strike, lock out, trade dispute, accident, fire, flood, existence of hazardous materials or any natural disaster, compliance with public health advice, terrorist attacks, acts or regulations of local or national government, or act of God or any contingency whatsoever beyond the Organisers reasonable control (an “Event Outside our Control”). In particular, but without limitation, any suspension or cancellation of the Ceremony and/or the Awards arising as a result of or in connection with an Event Outside our Control shall not constitute a breach of contract between Attendees and/or Entrants and the Organisers, nor will Attendees and/or Entrants be entitled to any refund or to any claim for any loss or damage howsoever arising as a result of a cancellation or postponement arising as a result of or in connection with an Event Outside our Control. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence, hospitality or accommodation relating to the Ceremony which have been arranged by Attendees and/or Entrants are at their own risk. In the event that the Organisers decide to postpone (as opposed to cancel) the Ceremony due to an Event Outside our Control, the Organisers will attempt to re-organise the same as soon as reasonably practicable and convenient after the Event Outside our Control has ceased.
4.6 All attendees are expected to behave appropriately and safely and The Talent Labs takes no responsibility for behaviour of individual attendees arising in damages loss, reputational risk or injury.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
5.1. The Rules and any dispute or claim arising from or in connection to them or their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforcement (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.
5.2. The Court of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claims arising out of or in connection with the Rules, their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforcement (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
